This 24-lesson unit is the second in a series of two. It is filled with more functional and pleasurable Spanish vocabulary-building activities. An additional 120 familiar nouns are presented.

Examples:

Hand = el coco.

Jacket = la chaqueta.

Eraser = la goma.

Word/picture association, verbal skills, visual perception, word pronunciation, and sound blending are all used so students can begin to read, write, and speak Spanish. The words are grouped by categories ranging from “parts of the body” and “clothes,” to “food” and “at school.” Creative illustrations are used to convey meaning.

A glossary at the back of the book gives translations and pronunciations.
