Your students will be thrilled with this hands-on, experimental approach to learning about Canadian government. All students, no matter what their skill set, will have an active role in creating parties, choosing leaders and other important personnel including: campaign managers, creative directors, accountants, etc. Then the fun begins as the classroom is turned into an election campaign with posters, commercials, and debates. Students will gain a personal understanding of the meaning of citizenship, and will even have the opportunity to apply democracy to decisions in their own school.
