Hanukkah Star of David SuncatchersÂ
This is a fun and easy craft to celebrate Hanukkhah and learn more about the Star of David and its meaning!
Materials: Paper, Q-tips, Paint, Pencil
Step 1: Using a pencil, draw the shape of a menorah on your paper, pressing lightly. Make sure to draw the shamash, or center candle holder, higher than the 8 other candles.
Step 2: Dip a Q-tip into the paint and one dot at a time, outline the menorah. Remember, we don't want to use the Q-tips to smear the paint like a paint brush. Instead, we want to make tiny dots close together to make it appear like a line was formed
Step 3: Use a different colour of paint to dot the outlines of the candles.
Step 4: When the candles are finished, use yellow and orange dots to "light" the menorah. Your can com- plete the art work all at once or light an extra candle for each night of Hanukkah.

Materials: popsicle sticks, washable tempera paint, brushes, assorted craft materials, glue, pipe cleaner or yarn.
Start by painting your popsicle sticks. You can also use markers or tempera paint sticks. Once dry, glue 3 popsicle sticks into a triangle shape, and do this again with 3 more.Â
To create the star, stick one triangle the right side up and the other upside down triangle over it. Now it's time to decorate! We added glitter but this is a chance to pull out all your assorted craft materials and have fun with it. To hang your star, twist a pipe cleaner into a loop and glue it to the back, or create a bunch of these stars and glue them to a ribbon to make a banner.

DIY Dreidels
Materials: Printable dreidel template, Tempera paint sticks or markers, Scissors & Glue, Popsicle stick
Print out the dreidel template and cut it out. You can trace it onto card stock paper to make it sturdier, or just use regular printer paper.Â
Â
Decorate the dreidel using tempera paint sticks or markers. Try drawing on the traditional dreidel symbols! Once decorated, fold and glue along the tabs to create your dreidel - this part can be tricky so be patient. Poke a popsicle stick or a straw through the top, and watch your dreidel spin, or you can create a few dreidels and hang them up as a mobile.
